I just finished this lovely silk crepe de chine tunic blouse in a beautiful shade of blue:

This was not the fastest thing I have sewn, as I took my time making couture seams and hand sewn finishes, even self-fabric covered buttons. This fabric is so lovely to wear, but quite finicky, delicate and slippery to manage and to sew, that I had to take my time for each section of the construction process.

Thanks Kristin! You should make it, it is quite nice to wear. I would go down a size, even from the finished measurements on the pattern, as it feels a bit big as I am wearing it right now. Super comfy and nice in silk though, just how “we” like it!

Lovely! I’ve been eyeing this pattern, as well as McCall’s 6510. How much ease in the bust would you recommend for each?
Thank you for your comment! I believe this has about 3-4″ of ease around the bust area. I love this top, and hope you get to make it and enjoy as well!
