It’s been hot here in Portland, last weekend reached 100 degrees. So, I decided that I need an easy, cool little dress to pull on and go. I saw this dress on Nordstrom.com for $158 and thought “no way, I can make that for about $20”.
I found this pattern
and ran out to the fabric store and got this perfect, lightweight and colorful fabric to make it in. It was a quick and satisfying dress to sew, and I even made the bias binding myself using one of those little gadgets that make bias tape along with using the iron. Perfection for a hot, summer day! Love it!
Hi! Just wondering if you can tell me what pattern you used for this dress?? Thank you!!
Hi Jasmine,
I used McCall’s pattern 6354 to make this dress.
Hope you can make it too, it’s a great little dress 🙂
I just love this. It turns out that McCall’s 6354 is out of print, though. Is there any chance I could borrow it from you? Or buy it from you? Thanks so much.
Hi there Beth,
I have already cut this pattern out in the small. I can make a copy for myself and sell you the used pattern for a few dollars. Or, if you want to copy it and send it back, that would be OK with me too. Personally, the return postage would probably cost as much as the pattern, so I would just buy it! Up to you, I am open to options 🙂 Great dress and top though! I wear it often and it is super easy to pull on and go!
